At it Again!

After almost 2 years of absence on my blog, I decided get with it again. Alot had happened in the past year and a half. I went to the Phillippines along with my siblings because my mom was gravely ill. That was the last time we've seen her alive. We never got to talk to her while we were there because she was already in a coma.

My mom was a very strong woman! She single handedly took care of our dad after he suffered a stroke. She took care of him for over ten years. After my dad passed away she dedicated her entire time to God. She was always at the church helping. We asked her to come be with us but she just can't leave because she felt like the church needed her. She did a lot to help the church and others. She was always generous!

We miss our mom dearly!

The Rhein Falls

Day Two: We went with Robert and his two girls, Thekla and Elli (Kata went to church and Antje stayed home to prepare dinner) to see the Rhein Fall ,where the river falls to lake Konstanz. On our way back we stopped at a little town called Stein am Rhein . We walked around and shopped, bought some souvenirs to take home. We didn't stay very long because it was raining and we had to get home because Antje had prepared a very delicious dinner! After dinner Antje took us out while Robert went to his office. She showed us the church where they got married then we went to Gottlieben seecafe for coffee and swiss soft drinks. Then on our way home, we stopped at Antje's school and she gave us a tour.

Our First Day in Switzerland/Germany

After approximately 15 hours flight from Dallas to we finally arrive in Zurich. We were met by Robert & Antje at the airport and we went for short tour of downtown Zurich.

In the afternoon we went to Konstanz and walked around a bit. It's quite a James Bond experience.
